My V-day disaster...
Taylor Swift is hypnotizing our children
Anywho.. so last weekend, or the weekend before last.. one of those weekends.. I was in the kitchen cleaning up after breakfast and had the surround sound on listening to the top 20 on CMT and finally caught Aubrey in the act! It was so funny, too cute. She was getting down with her bad self!
And a little bit later after I took that video she was crying because I told her no about something and when I turned the channel and she saw Taylor was on she just automatically stopped crying like nothing was wrong at all. So I had to catch that on video too. Its so funny because my nephew does the same thing when he sees or hears Taylor.. they just stop and stare. I like her too, but I've never seen kids react that way to one particular musician. She is hypnotizing our children!!

The cutest thing ever!!
I took this picture the night before when I was trying on her different outfits, thats why Tripp is in his jammies. (he's biting his tounge in this picture! I'm trying to break him from doing that.. I don't know why but it drives me crazy!)

study break!
Anywho.. I just decided to take a break from studying to tell yall about Aubrey's swimming lessons today! It was her first class so they didn't really do much but try to get them to feel comfortable with being in the giant pool. At first she was clinched on to me for dear life! I mean, the girl had a death grip on me! She clinched her legs around me and got a grip around my neck like she was terrified.. poor thing! But after about 15 minutes or so she started to get comfortable with it and she started kicking her legs and let me hold her out and kind of drag her around the pool. We had a pretty good time. Well, until it was time to get out! It was FREEZING!! I'm sick of this cold weather!
I sure wish I had some pictures to put up but this is what happens when I leave Rodger in charge of the photography.. haha.. he's the WORST picture taker EVER! But we've got 2 classes a week for the next 3 weeks so maybe I can catch a couple of good shots between now and the end of February?!
And we've gone and signed Tripp up for T-ball. Not sure exactly when the season starts but I'm pretty sure they start practice in late February or early March. Should be interesting! Its gonna be soooo cute! Can't wait to see how he does and how he likes it. If he's half the athlete that his daddy is then he should be just fine!
Wish me luck tomorrow! First chem test!

Times are tough...
This video from Glen Beck is pretty astonishing. My jaw just about hit the floor when I saw this:
http://www.foxnews.com/video/index.html?playerId=videolandingpage&streamingFormat=FLASH&referralObject=3479955&referralPlaylistId=playlist
and on top of that I tried to find the details that are in this so called "stimulus plan" and can't seem to find any straight forward answers besides from foxnews. Here is some of the ways the government plans to stimulate our economy:
Congress wants to spend $600 million more for the federal government to buy new cars. Uncle Sam already spends $3 billion a year on its fleet of 600,000 vehicles. Congress also wants to spend $7 billion for modernizing federal buildings and facilities. The Smithsonian is targeted to receive $150 million; we love the Smithsonian, too, but this is a job creator? There's $1 billion for Amtrak, the federal railroad that hasn't turned a profit in 40 years; $2 billion for child-care subsidies; $50 million for that great engine of job creation, the National Endowment for the Arts; $400 million for global-warming research and another $2.4 billion for carbon-capture demonstration projects. There's even $650 million on top of the billions already doled out to pay for digital TV conversion coupons.
Another "stimulus" secret is that some $252 billion is for income-transfer payments -- that is, not investments that arguably help everyone, but cash or benefits to individuals for doing nothing at all. There's $81 billion for Medicaid, $36 billion for expanded unemployment benefits, $20 billion for food stamps, and $83 billion for the earned income credit for people who don't pay income tax. While some of that may be justified to help poorer Americans ride out the recession, they aren't job creators. $54 billion will go to federal programs that the Office of Management and Budget or the Government Accountability Office have already criticized as "ineffective" or unable to pass basic financial audits. These include the Economic Development Administration, the Small Business Administration, the 10 federal job training programs, and many more. Oh, and don't forget education, which would get $66 billion more. That's more than the entire Education Department spent a mere 10 years ago
This is supposed to be a new era of bipartisanship, but this bill was written based on the wish list of every living -- or dead -- Democratic interest group. As Speaker Nancy Pelosi put it, "We won the election. We wrote the bill." So they did. Republicans should let them take all of the credit.
I found all this info on http://www.askheritage.org/
Seriously does any of that REALLY sound stimulating?? Doesn't to me.. not in the least. We're struggling too and wish that the economy was back to normal but this is not the way to go about it. But we might as well deal with it because this is going to happen and there is nothing we can do about it!
Friday nights = DANCE PARTY!!
and again here... I don't know what Tripp is doing.. just being his normal goofy self I guess..
So other than our dance party Friday we had a pretty uneventful weekend, like usual. Rodger and Tripp have been practicing baseball because Tripp is going to play t-ball this year.. I can't wait! Its going to be sooo cute! Hopefully he'll like it and if he's half the athlete his daddy is then he'll be pretty good. We'll just have to wait and see though.
